Add up all your power-hungry appliances (fridge, lights, fans, coffee machine, laptop) and make sure your inverter is up to the job. Most experts reckon a 2000W+ inverter is about the bare minimum for anything more than just basic use.
Check where the batteries, chargers and isolators are – you don’t want to be crawling around on the floor trying to get to them.
Look at the solar input capacity and whether it can be upgraded later.
Try running all the lights, fans etc together and see if there’s any noticeable drop in voltage or if the system gets noisy.
